Last year, we achieved a mid-double-digit million-euro revenue at our German locations, underscoring our innovation and expansion strategy.

A Pioneer in Traffic Technology with a Long Tradition

WEMAS was founded in 1971 as a trading company for tool technology and machinery. By 1978, the "S" in its name took on a new meaning: road safety technology. WEMAS was among the pioneers in developing, manufacturing, and distributing products for securing workplaces and construction sites across Germany. At that time, the market was still largely undeveloped, with a lack of uniform regulations for worksite safety. As one of the first manufacturers in this sector, WEMAS played a key role in ensuring that Germany now maintains a high level of safety and has established internationally recognized standards for product approval criteria and application guidelines.

Market Leader in Passive Traffic Technology

This pioneering spirit led to numerous product innovations and a transformation of the portfolio—from primarily sheet metal-formed products to durable and easy-to-handle plastic items. Today, WEMAS positions itself as a full-range supplier with all the necessary legal approvals and certifications. The combination of top-quality products, efficient production processes, and dedicated employees has made WEMAS a leading force in the market. Reaching the excellence level in order fulfillment for several years was not enough for us. That’s why we have further developed our delivery program:

• Our warehouse program has been further refined so that we don’t just produce these items for stock—we always link them to the NOS principle (Never Out of Stock, always available).

• Products ready for shipment within 5–10 working day

• Even more complex customization options can be produced and delivered within 5 or 10 days once the technical specifications are clearly defined—an impressive achievement!

• Of course, we can’t anticipate every request in advance. That’s why some products in our portfolio require us to determine the exact delivery time. Simply reach out to us, and we’ll quickly provide a binding response.

There has been a buzz around us since spring 2024 – literally! In collaboration with beefuture, we have set up our own bee colony on our company premises, demonstrating our commitment to active environmental protection and sustainable practices.

We wholeheartedly support this initiative. Bees are much more than just honey suppliers – they are a cornerstone of our ecosystem.

• Over 80% of native flowering plants depend on bee pollination.
• Around a third of global food production depends directly on pollination by bees and other insects.
• The economic value of pollination is in the hundreds of billions of euros worldwide.
• Successful pollination can increase yields by 5–50%.

However, the bee population is under threat:
Since 1950, it has declined by more than half worldwide. In Germany, more than 80% of honey now has to be imported, which is a clear sign of how important it is to take responsibility locally.

By establishing our own bee colony, we aim to contribute to biodiversity and raise awareness of ecological issues among our employees, partners, and customers.
