OUR HISTORY
WEMAS was originally founded in 1971 as a trading company for tool technology and machines. But already in 1978 the S in the name got a new meaning: road safety technology. At that time, WEMAS was one of the pioneers who developed and produced products for the protection of workplaces and construction sites and distributed them throughout Germany.
At that time, the market was still completely underdeveloped and there were no uniform regulations on how workplaces should be secured at all. So WEMAS was not only one of the first producers, but also contributed together with others to the fact that today in Germany we have a high safety level and standards of requirements such as approval criteria for products and their use that are recognised far beyond the borders of the country.
The pioneering spirit was followed by many product innovations and the transformation of the portfolio from products manufactured mainly by sheet metal forming to robust, easy-to-handle plastic products. Today WEMAS acts as a full-range supplier and has all necessary legal approvals and certificates.
